This is an excellent brief workout that really engages the core. However don’t make this the only workout you do that day. It’s a great ending routine that uses your whole body but focuses specifically on strengthening your core.
It’s only 3 different exercises that are performed 4 times with a 30 second rest in-between sets. It ends with a simple plank. Give it a shot and let me know what you think.
Anyways, here it is:
Dumbell Pushup Rows × 10 – 3 count
Use a weight you are comfortable with. Remember it’s the core killer, not the arms killer. I usually use 30lbs to 35lbs dumbells.
As soon as you complete your final repetition, you will go straight up to the standing position and right into the next exercise:
Dumbell Front Squats x 10
As soon as you complete the final repetition, you will set the dumbbells down and go right into the third and final exercise:
Flutter Kicks x 20 – 3 count
Keeping your legs straight,and without letting your heels hit the floor, one leg will go up while the other goes down and repeat, just in case your unfamiliar with the exercise.
As soon as you complete your final repetition, you will rest for 30 seconds, then you will go through all 3 exercises again until you’ve done 4 sets.
Finally, after your 4th set, you will rest for 1 minute and then go straight to the plank position. Set the timer for 3 minutes, and HOLD IT!
When you get to a minute left, you will rotate up on your left side and hold for 30 seconds. You will finish the final 30 seconds on your right side.
